jofersine
Ok, I've managed to get Snow Leaopard 10.6.5 running on an Intel Atom 1.8ghz Dual Core CPU (D525) On a gigabyte GA-D525TUD Motherboard. It's been a hit and miss journey but following the "sandy bridge" tutorial on the TonyMac website I managed to finally get it up and running how I wanted. I have been trying to get this combo working for a month! Haven't got very much help at all from the forums only to tell me that "10.6.5 will not support Atom CPU". I could get it it boot, sound and networking all working but no "reboot" without ##### Legacy disk. Now after the above instructions and the Sandy Bridge installer. I'm RUNNING!!! Shuts down and reboots just fine, with sound and networking The whole package is stuffed into a Thermaltake SD 100 Micro ITX towere and only owes me around $300 all up. There are cheaper towers you could use I guess. How about this for a "Mac-Mini Substitute"?? Used ##### Legacy Version (to boot her up and start the Snow Leaopard installation) Combo update to 10.5.6 ##### (##### mode) realtek audio and Lan Kext I'm positively stoked !! Does this mean Dell mini's and EEEpc notebooks can take advantage of this too? All the best Matt Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244555-gigabyte-ga-d525tud-project/ Share on other sites
