sleazybigfoot
Hello, I have a problem. There is a black border around my screen. (For the windows users out there, sometimes you get this black border also if you haven't installed the video card drivers yet.) I tried a couple of things. - "Graphics Mode"="1920x1200x32" - Reinstall. - Install the 4x0 - 580 kext but I need Mac OS X 10.6.5 or higher for that. (I'm at 10.5.2 right now) I'm using the Kalyway 10.5.2 distro. if I select any nvidia drivers in the customize option screen while installing Mac OS X it gives me what I suspect is a Kernel Panic (a grey screen scrolls down that tells me to reboot while it's booting Mac OS X) Also I can't change my resolution in the display settings when i'm logged into the Mac cause it only displays 1 useable resolution... My Sound works. Internet works. (Typing this from the Black Border machine ) My Specs: MOBO: Asus P5K Pro CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @ 2.4ghz GPU: Nvidia Gigabyte GTX470 RAM: 4gb 667 mhz (something something xD) If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244179-black-border-around-screen/ Share on other sites
