foxwalk
Hey, I installed Snow Leopard on an HP Pavilion dv5-1138nr. I created a DSDT with DSDT Autopatcher, and chose the HP option (there's only one there).. I was figuring that hopefully the hardware would be close enough. Pretty much everything works except for audio and power management. I can live without power management, but I'd really like to get audio working. Here's the really weird thing. Maybe not so weird to more experienced Hackintosh users? but to me it's very odd. Audio works when I boot the machine with the ##### CD, however not off of the HD. I have examined the extensions loaded when I'm booted off the ##### CD and off the HD and the same audio extensions are loaded: AudioAUUC AudioIPCDriver AppleHDA AppleHDAController The audio is Intel 82801I (ICH9 Family) Intel HD Audio as listed by "lspci" when booting from a linux live cd. Haven't been able to find anything on Google and am at my wit's end. Don't really get why it's not working. Thanks for any help you can give! :) ps: as an aside. I think the reason why PM doesn't work is because I skipped a step in the install guide where it says to change something with the ACPI in the BIOS. The {censored} HP laptop doesn't let you change ANY OPTIONS in the BIOS :/ Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244114-intel-82801i-no-audio-on-hd-boot-wsame-extensions-as-iboot-loaded/ Share on other sites
