After retail DVD install: - audio worked immediately - SATA optical drive not detected - SATA HDD not detected - processor and RAM was not recognized - monitor models and 9400GT vid card were recognized -- I could even do multimonitor setup here After 10.6.6 update: - RAM and CPU now recognized My current OS is installed on a USB HDD with GUID partitioning. I want to be successful here first before I try messing with my real HDD. I have yet to try to set an option in BIOS from IDE to AHCI and check if that solves the SATA detection stuff.
