patsryan Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 ok so i finally wiped my hard drive and upgraded my dell inspiron 1545 to snow leopard 10.6.2 using the hazard distro i didnt check any kernel during the install but when i did have to remove a kext to prevent getting a kernel panic the kext was com.apple.driver.appletymcedriver and was in /System/Library/Extensions/AppleTyMCEdriver.kext but now after the 10.6.6 update i get another kernel panic :/ any ideas what could be up? is the kernel that is installed when you tick noting not a vanilla one? please help me specs are: intel pentium processor 3gb ddr3 ram 300gb hdd intel gma x4500 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244035-1066-update/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
dothacker Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 when you dont choose a modified kernel, it installs the vanilla kernel. it would help if you PUT YOUR SPECS here, just like what the rules state...
