I been having a hard time with installing 10.6.3 on my HP Notebook I have tryed a number of bootloaders ##### , Mammoth DVx Boot CD - v1.10 as well as a few verisons of empire EFI I am unable to get to the install screen I get hung up on ACPI or cpu mismatch panics I am using a retail disk and I have used many boot flags such as cpus=1 busratio=18 -v -f -x platform=x86pc pmVersion=0 etc. I am hoping someone can offer some information I haven't come across. I had never heard of insyde bios before and wasnt happy that there were like no settings to change so I hunted down as much info as I could find and did come across a web site talking about hidden advance options in insyde you access it by pressing f10 when the laptop comes up and as soon as you see f10 has been pressed entering system setup press the letter A you are then able to access an advanced menu things like turning one of your cores off changing video memory allocation setting SATA to ACHI it was helpfull as I wasnt happy that HP wouldnt let you change advanced settings but I hadnt found any that would let me get in to the install. Any help would be great
