Hi all

I was very impressed with my friends Hackintosh build that I decided to buy one for myself and my brother (along with two Mac Retail Disks). However, instead of going through the process of installing via USB and manually updating both laptops like my friend did, he recommended that I clone his disk and write the cloned disk to the two new Dell Mini10v's. He used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone his disk and handed me it on an external USB drive, along with a USB pen drive with a his Mac Retail DVD Image and the Netbookinstaller Utility.

I copied the cloned drive using Ghost4Linux onto the new netbooks harddisks, and booted up into the Mac DVD Image to run a repair on the drive using Disk Utility, and finally ran the Netbookinstaller. Rebooted and OS X 10.6.5 started fine! However thats when I noticed the Wifi and Ethernet devices are not detected, on both netbooks! :/

I formatted one netbook and installed via USB to 10.6.3 and the Wifi and Ethernet work natively! So the hardware must be OK. My friend has since gone on holiday, so I cant check what Wifi device his Dell Mini had, though I suspect it was a broadcom card like the two I have here.

Has anyone else encountered problems cloning from one netbook to another, specifically with no Wifi or Ethernet?
