victorkzam
Hey guys, I've installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard Retail (Bought from Apple) on my Dell XPS m1330 then I've installed Chameleon v2 RC5 700 bootloader, but with chameleon it doesn't boot. If you boot normally it says you to Restart you computer, if I boot verbose (-v) it says "System Uptime In Nanoseconds" and a lot of numbers. If I boot with my boot CD from HMBT, I can start Mac. What can I do? PLEASE HELP ME! Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/243573-dell-xps-m1330-kernel-panic/ Share on other sites
dothacker
So, let me get this straight... You put Chameleon 2 in your HDD, then installed SL just like that? without any fakesmc/dsmos, modified kernel and kexts? Well, there's your problem right there! DanGleesacks
Did you ever solve this? I'm having the same problem! I have tried putting the kexts on from ##### and I have tried various versions of Chameleon upto the latest, but I can't get it to reboot at all from the HDD... I'm cracking up with it! I read here : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=119654 that you need to edit a .plist to point to i386, but I can not find this plist. It doesn't exist or get installed when I run the chameleon package installer? So my thoughts are, without changing to point to 32bit, its failing as Snow Leopard is native 64bit. (Please correct me if I am wrong) Any help on getting it to boot from HDD much appreciated... Been at this for over a week and just can't seem to get past this last hurdle, because other than this, it installs perfectly and smoothly! Thanks, DG.
