MrSimmo Posted January 13, 2011 Share Posted January 13, 2011 Hi all, I've got a HP Envy 17 laptop which has an ATI Radeon HD 5850 Mobility graphics adapter in it. I've seen various posts talking about mobility cards aren't likely to have working drivers any time soon, but then I saw this thread ( http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=978676 ) which shows that the new iMac has a 5850 mobility in it (dressed up as a 5750). Does this mean it should work out of the box with 10.6.5/10.6.6 or is there something I can do (such as edit a kext identifier etc) to make it work?
