strangerhacks
I got up this HP G62-255DX on sale and I want to make it into a Hackintosh.. or.. "Hackbook" as I read on Wiki. My dad just bought a brand new iMac running 10.6.4 and we updated it to 10.6.6 last night. My friend said when he made his mom a desktop Hackintosh, he just used the remote OSX installation on his Macbook Pro with a retail copy of OSX and then once the installation was finished he just patched the computer and it worked from then on without a single problem to this date.. When my dad got his iMac, I picked up a retail copy of OSX 10.6.3 just for this exact reason but I can't find a single thing on how to make my HP into a Hackbook using this remote install method. I also have NOTHING in my BIOS for changing SATA to AHCI so every installation method I come across needs to exclude that step if anyone can help me out with some other tutorials too? Thanks for any help, I really want to get this working soon. Since I tried iATKOS S3 v2, Ubuntu has crashed on me and no longer lets me do anything so I had to format and install Windows 7, as it being the only OS I could find at the time. -Ben Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/243254-hp-g62-225dx-imac/ Share on other sites
