I used the patched install DVD, flawlessly. Had no md5 errors at all (surprisingly) and no major issues to speak of. The forum was a great help, and I was able to work through my screen resolution issues, ethernet, and printer problems.

Successes:

* Athlon64 3500 (Winchester, no SSE3 :()

* Asus A8V deluxe (Onboard ethernet didn't work)

* Linksys LNE100TX nic, worked with Tulip driver

* Deskjet 5150 (worked flawlessly with the Deskjet 900 driver. One side note - I was able to get it shared on my windows network at home, and now we can still print via our wireless network!)

* Logitech DiNovo keyboard - Working fine as a keyboard, though no specialized function keys work. MX900 mouse functions, minus forward/back and other mouse buttons. Only right click, left click, and scroll. Mouse responsiveness seems a bit slow actually, double click speed is ... different from what I'm used to on WinXP, I should say.

Oddities:

* Image Viewer doesn't work, no pics display. I was able to take a screenshot and edit it with iPhoto, uploaded it to my webspace, saw that it was fine. Still no dice in Image Viewer.

* Same ol' thing, sound from only one side from AC97 audio. I fooled around with the MIDI settings a bit and was able to get the lack of sound to shift from right to left, but never had stereo sound.
