Nothing happens after install

So I recently installed Snow Leopard on my computer, but when I restart the computer after it says that the installation was successful, nothing happens, and it goes straight to the Intel Boot Agent saying that no boot filename was received. I'm not sure on what to do next, it's like the bootloader wasn't installed even though I included it. I also burned off ##### to a disc, in which my Mac setup showed up, but when I picked to launch from it; I couldn't get any further than the Apple logo.

Any help to get me up and running will be greatly appreciated.
