Crucial Posted August 10, 2006 Share Posted August 10, 2006 I have a Dell Inspiron 2650 with built in NIC and Audio (AC97), I also have a Linksys wireless PC Card all of which DO NOT WORK. I would really like to get the built in ethernet working or the wireless pc card; what use is a computer with no network/internet? The error's I'm receiving are as follows: The system extension "/system/library/extensions/appleAC97Audio.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update. I also get the same error but for these extensions: AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext, ApplePS2Controller.kext, ApplePS2Trackpad.kext, ApplePS2Mouse.kext. I looked and none of these files exist anywhere. Also, the NIC is listed as Built-in Ethernet in Network Prefs, but it is grayed out. What should I do? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
