jeffdodge Posted January 9, 2011 Share Posted January 9, 2011 I just built my second desktop hackintosh (this is my fourth hackintosh, my first was a dell mini 9, then a custom build on a GA-EP45-UD3P, then my ASUS G51VX-RX05 and now this build and previous to that I have had many real macs) After install using Nawcom's Mod CD and my 10.6.0 retail DVD my machine will only boot with modbin kernel. My machine absolutely will not boot with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and my retail DVD, if I use [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] I get a kernel panic every time or sometimes a double panic. I used combo update 10.6.2 then ran [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], rebooted and ran 10.6.4 combo update and [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] again and still can only boot with modbin kernel, mach kernel leaves me with a kernel panic. I am stuck at 10.6.4, and I cannot update any further. If I do I get a black screen on boot, an instant reboot or a kernel panic.
