I'm trying to install a retail version of Mac OS X 10.6.3 on my pc, using the NawCom Mod CD v0.3.

when i use the legacy kernel during installation, i get a double kernel panic..

when i use the Mach_kernel i get a kernel panic concerning some IOkit..

i already tried the bootflags:

mach_kernel cpus=1 busratio=20

but i still get the same kernel panic

Please help me

Check your BIOS and see if you can change your HD controller from IDE (or SATA) to AHCI.

Thanks for your reaction!

i already did that, because it was the only way to get the boot cd to mount / see the HD in the DiscUtility (should have mentioned that i guess)

I'm now trying to only connect one HD, and disabling some functions on my MotherBoard (second LAN Controler, Firewire etc. )

Some other things i can try?

Hi Fella,

I have found that with iAtkos s3 10.6.3 that selecting any RTC option causes KP, don't know if your distro is the same but might be worth a try

I´m not using that distro (or any distro for that matter) i'm using a retail Mac OS X disc, and a EFI dvd *boot132 method

thanks for you input anyway!

i was wondering if updating my BIOS could possibly resolve the problems i'm having..

my current BIOS version is 1.3 and the newest one is 1.A *the version before that is 1.9

so quite a lot updates.. also some involving AHCI etc..

here's a list

Thanks in advance!
