cooperzetec
hi im new to the world of mac and have a little problem. i am running ideneb 10.5.8 and it works brilliant, i recently got a belkin f5d7000 version 1010 pci wireless card which i intend to use instead of my usb dongle. it has the broadcom 4306kfb chip on which i thought was supposed to work out of the box and be recognised as an airport card. thing is i cant seem to get the computer to recognise it at all, i have tried a few things but im not really that competent using terminal yet. im not sure if the card is broken or if its just the mac not using it, unfortunately i have no way to test it so i could be stuck trying to get it to work for ever. it does come up in the system profiler under network cards but says the drivers are not installed. really dont know what else to do so any help how ever little and stupid it may seem would be great. thanks tony Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/241933-cannot-get-belkin-pci-wireless-card-to-work/ Share on other sites

webplus
anybody???? Could be a faulty card, but I had problems (card was recognised and worked but would grey-out and stop working every 5-10 minutes) with the same card on an older motherboard. A BIOS update fixed it for me, so it was a motherboard / card compatibility issue.
