nhlaxd
I recently received a 980X with a P6T-SE motherboard, to make it a working computer I picked up a Radeon 5850 among other things. Now while I'm sure this could be a hackintosh, I don't want to spend a day or weekend setting up an OS that is going to perform terribly though. Right now I have it dual booting Ubuntu and Windows 7 on a single HD, but I have other HD's that I would be placing OS X onto (3 OS's on a single drive gets messy - I've done it before). That said, I really don't want to get rid of Windows 7 or Ubuntu. Yes I do have a need for them too. So I ask, does anyone expect me to hit any snags with this build, software installing or compatibility? How about performance of the Radeon 5850? I know I saw a number of people complaining about it not working at 100% but they largely seemed like rather dated comments. Specs: CPU: i7-980X MB: P6T-SE RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600 (6x2GB) Graphics: Radeon 5850 Lastly, which of these guides (if either) would be more relevant to this build? http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=189052 Thanks for your time.
