lmicu1
I have a dell inspiron e1705 with the Sigmatel HD audio card on it. I installed a retail SL 10.6.3 I am not ready to upgrade just yet. Wanna get this one to work, clone it on another drive and then start the upgrade process. Anyways I am looking to get my Sigmatel to work. I would rather do it manually, without any automatic programs, so I can undo it in case my kernel panics. lmicu1
Well finally I got it working. Actually I got a kext from here http://code.google.com/p/voodoohda/downloa...mp;can=2&q= and I installed it and working like a charm. I did not verify the mic yet but everything else is working, including MUTE and VOLUMES. PS: I am not sure if this also helped to solve the issue: Initially when I was trying the HDAvoodoo.kext, in my BIOS I had the MultiCore Support on OFF, so the computer was seeing only one CPU. After I found a kext for that to work (to be able to have core due without the panic of the kernel or unusable mouse) I did not bother to retry the HDAvooddoo.kext . So Today my Core Duo was already enabled and when I installed the HDA's it worked.
