I am relatively new to hackintoshing , so far I managed to install it in 2 netbooks an asus 901 and a asus 1005ha , both fully functional. Recentlly i got an apple macbook air clone e-stary , it's a cute little thing with atom 270 cpu , gma950 chipset and graphics ,and i thought it will be the perfect toy to put mac osX on. installation was fine , with 2 problems only: my synaptics touchpad is oversensitive with erratic movements (even if i pass my finger on top of it it's registering a click or a movement) thet renders it unusable , so I am using a logitech usb mouse. My screen resolution is stack to 800x600 and other 4:3 resolutions that when chossed they get off screen ,while the screen is 16:9 and it can do easily 1024x600 (it's advertised as 1366x768). 1.So far i tried every kext that I could get my hands on for synaptics but no luck , sometimes i get kps sometimes keyboard and mouse stop functioning all together .Is there a file where I can adjust sensitivity of trackpad, a plist or something not the control panel? 2 Concerning the screen I tried different kexts for gma950 , tried to pass arguments Graphic Mode in boot, tried to input it the apple boot plist but again no luck. Please please please , if someone has an idea as to what i can do no matter how hard is this or can guide me to the right direction I would be grateful since i am sick and tired of reinstalling osX. cybervet Posted January 10, 2011 Author Share Posted January 10, 2011 For the screen i think it's an EDID problem , when during some installations (almost 50 by now) there is no kext loaded for the gma950 then it displays the correct resolution, if the kext is loaded it stacks in 4:3 resolutions, problem is i can't find the EDID info , not from win7 or from ubuntu, any ideas? Concerning the trackpad, I opened the netbook in order to be sure that is a synaptics, installed win7 and ubundtu 10.10 and works in both, in osX in the console I keep getting a msg :ps2controller unexpected data" any ideas as to what might be wrong here? cybervet Posted January 11, 2011 Author Share Posted January 11, 2011 ok screen is done works fine on resolution 1024x600 , needed new framebuffer kext plus natit.kext Unfortunately touchpad still unusable anyone knows what the message in the console means that i am getting when i am using the touchpad? "appleps2controller : unexpected data from ps2 controller received."
