Hi, I've installed iAtkos s3. After a recent update it gave me panic and mentioned one of the kexts. After deleting that kext from /Extras

I get sort of a generic kernel panic (snapshot below). Unfortunately this happened a week ago and I no longer remember which kext was mentioned/removed.

Few pieces of information:

* I'm on Gigabyte EP35-DS3L F6, AHCI enabled, 4GB, Q6600 stock clock, Nvidia 8800GT

* Had to use pmVersion=20 to boot (added to boot.plist) after update makes no difference

Any suggestions appreciated

Nothing in that screen shot I can see as causing the panic normally without you running the NullCPUManagement.kext since you have no DSDT.aml to load the AppleLPC I would have expected to see the AppleIntelCPUManagement.kext causing it. You are going to have to get that on there somehow I would suggest going to the http://www.tonymacx86.com/ site getting an ##### cd/dvd plus the newest #####. Boot with the ##### to see if it will let you get into the install where you can use the ##### to reinstall those .kext already in there plus the NULL already mentioned and the newest version of the RC5 of Chameleon. BTW you may want to consider springing the $29 for a retail disk and install it on the machine then you know it is nothing in the iAtkos that is screwing you up that hardware will run a retail install.

@MacUser2525: Thanks for the reply.

I've got leopard on another partition so I have access to the HDD with SL. It was great until I stupidly updated to 10.6.4 (from 10.6.3 iAtkos s3). So to be clear which kexts should I get to the Extra/Extensions? BTW i copied the DSDT.aml from 10.5.4 partition but the user/group is _unknown _unknown even after running repair permissions or even chown root:wheel DSDT.aml.

Sorry didn't read all the way through. I'm getting the #####.

That would be as root you are seeing the _unknown _unknown right trying to doing ls as your normal user I'll bet it shows correctly. This has me unsure of what is going on now that I know you have DSDT.aml, what is fixed in that do you know? Maybe even post it I will decompile and see if I can see what has been changed. Generally with motherboards as compatible as these you only need the fakesmc, chameleon and the DSDT.aml to get it booting all the rest is cosmetic/hardware usage problems.

@MacUser2525: The DSDT was put there in the mean time. I've downloaded ##### and set it to target that drive. We shall see... (I'm doing it from 10.5.4 targeting 10.6.4 partition)
