codeThatThinks Posted December 31, 2010 Share Posted December 31, 2010 I get a kernel panic every time try to boot the osx 10.6.0 installer from a flash drive using the Lifehacker guide: http://lifehac.kr/nUuLq In verbose mode, it says: Kernel Extensions in backtrace (with dependencies): com.apple.iokit.IODATAFamily(2.5.0)@0xffffff7f8076c000->0xffffff7ff8077afff BSD process name corresponding to current thread: kernel_task after the kernel panic.
