SMCentral
Hey guys and girls, My name is SMCentral and I've been around the OSx86 scene for quite some time however I took a rather long break since all my OSx86 installations managed to break after playing around with kexts and stuff to make it work. Recently, I went to the USA and brought myself a Sony Vaio VPC F126FM laptop. (It's bloody amazing). I use Windows for a lot of stuff but I also want to use iOS for the stuff Windows fails to deliver (Really cool and easy iMovie. I need it in my life so badly......) Anyway, I was wondering if these specs are okay to run OSx86 and which version of OSx86 you recommend me to use. Specs are; Processor: Intel® Core i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73-2.93GHz Memory: (RAM) 6.00 GB Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 1GB Primary: hard disk 640GB OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Network Adapter: Marvell Yukon 88E8057 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller Network Adapter: Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) Network Adapter: Atheros AR9287 Wireless Network Adapter Network Adapter: Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter Please, Please, Please. Help me, with any information you have - I would really appreciated all the help I can get to get this beast to run iOS. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I hope you've helped me today! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/241187-old-osx86-user-looking-for-help/ Share on other sites
Hagar
Experienced user should know better than to post this kind of thing. Take what you put in your post and put it in a search instead. You may not be aware that "versions of osx86" is a dead concept since the retail install thing happened a couple of years back. Best of luck, but Please, Please, Please don't ever post like this again.
