bailzey
First of all hello everyone! Okay so I'm a noob to the whole hackintosh world but I'm looking into putting osx snow leopard on my pc. I have tried one boot disk but got the error: Still waiting for root device while trying to load the disc to get to the osx installer maybe I'm doing something wrong? Im wanting to dual boot with windows 7. I understand there are different flavors of the install discs do I need to try those or am I able to build a custom one for my pc? Anyhow heres my setup: ELITEGROUP P4M900T-M2 Motherboard Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz CPU 1GB DDR2 RAM ATI Radeon X1650 Series Pro 512Mb Seagate 160GB SATA HDD Lite- On Dual Layer DVDRW SATA Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter VIA Rhine II Compatible Ethernet Adapter I have read around and cant find a simple answer to installing under these specs and how i would go about it. If anybody could help it would be appreciated because I'm kinda running around in the dark lol. Thanks Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/241119-installing-snow-leopard-on-my-custom-built-pc-help/ Share on other sites

Thanks In first you should read this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=236949 Did you check HCL (hardware compatibility list)? http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page Go google... Why you expect anyone do it for you. I was reading for few months to learn how to install OSx on my pc. Read forums, learn how it works, you'll find some ideas what to try... and probably you're gonna fail several times. Than come here with your spec. say i tried all this and it didn't work (or it's worked), can you help me... don't be lazy Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/241119-installing-snow-leopard-on-my-custom-built-pc-help/#findComment-1610657 Share on other sites
