Global Sound Level / Snow Leopard

Hello,

I recently converted my PC to an Hackintosh.

OnBoard Sound is working tho, but there's still a problem taht

i dunno if its a Hackintosh Problem or a common Snow Leopard / OS Problem.

When i have the Snow Leopard's global loudness level set to maximum

i have a good Bass Response (good amount of Bass) on my Speakers, but,

the lower I turn the global loudness level of Snow Leopard,

but raise the Volume of my external Mixer instead, the more Bass Response i loose.

Its also the same on Headphones.

It sound like there are almost no Bassfrequencies.

Anyone with the same "Problem" ?

Does it depend on the Snow Leopard OS ?

On the Windows System I could lower and maximize the Global Volume level

like i wanted to and it always kept putting out the same amount of Bass.

I also have a "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic"

which isn't recognized yet.

Is there any solution already for using it on a MAC OS,

if so can you point me to it please ?

Thank you in advance
