Performance improvements: RAM, and Flash

So my HP DV1410US is currently running a perfect install of Mac OS X 10.5.8. The laptop only has 512MB RAM, so it's not very stable. I've ordered 2GB RAM a few days ago. I'm should be getting a considerable speed boost, right? I know that the CPU isn't the best, but everything should be much faster with more RAM.

My main concern is with Flash video (ie. YouTube). Videos, for the most part, play just fine in Windows (Flash 10.2 beta), but in Leopard, that's a whole different story. Would it be the graphics drivers that's causing this? QE/CI is supported and everything is much better than without it (obviously).

Thoughts?

So I just installed the 2GB RAM, and upgrade from just 512MB. I see a HUGE performance improvement for Windows XP. Leopard doesn't seem to have as much of an improvement, but it's still considerably better than before.

Flash still performs like {censored} compared to XP :(. I guess it's just the GPU drivers from Leopard?
