chris_bain2
Hi, I have a 1.6ghz intel atom n270 Macbook Air clone, now I installed os x 10.6.0 retail using netbookinstaller version 20101127091350 as other versions would make the installer stall at around 8 minutes remaining. I managed to install os x 10.6 with no problems but then when I try to use the trackpad it goes crazy, it jumps all over the screen, it right-clicks, basically its just unusable, Now I have tried a few different driver but cant seem to get it to work. when I first boot up it says applePS2Touchpad: Synaptics capabilities but when I touch the trackpad during boot it says, applePS2Mouse: invalide data from ps2 controller. Its as if its seeing my trackpad as a ps2 mouse and not a trackpad. When I had windows XP Installed the trackpad showed as a synaptics v7.2. I ran sudo dmesg and have attached the reults. Please any help would be great, I dont know if I need to install differently or what I need to do. Another thing to note is when I change anything in the extensions folder it sometimes has kernel panic when booting up, or says not enough space to patch a file or something. Please help if you can :-( Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/240787-help-trackpad-on-netbook-unusable/ Share on other sites
