blamauciXXX Posted December 21, 2010 Share Posted December 21, 2010 Hi guys and gals i would really like some input on this I'm really eager to know if anybody could tell me if i could do a (near)retail install on my system using Empire EFI AMD using a 10.6.2 retail copy of snow leo dutch version I know which kext to use for Ethernet and for my GPU since they are broadley supported but I already know from a previous Leo 10.5.8 install that my Audio will give me a problem never got it working it is a Via VT1828s which system profiler in Leo install always identified as ''SBx00 Azalia(Intel HDA)'' but never shows up in system profiler after install and always had probs with VoodooHDA which always only gave me al lot of crackling and nothing more:(:( when i used a codec dump for AppleHDA patcher it always gave me an error in the kind of that it didn't recogize the codec dump:(:(:( so a KEXT for this chip would be Awesome or a codec dump that actually works would be kickass im using a phenom 2 550 unlocked, 4 GB ddr3 1333mhz,GTX260 and my mobo is MSI 770-G45 which differs a lot from the C-45 version which has a better supported built in audio chip namely a realtek Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/240513-amd-retail-install/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
