A lot of the installation URLs on osx86project.org are broken already.

Also, there are so many different guides and ways on installing MAC OS X x86. Even half a dozen different ways just installing for native OS X.

I am following Xplode's way at the moment. The Developer Install DVD I got is way too weird. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It took over 3 hours just to do the initial primary installation. Then as I was waiting for 100% Finiahing installation process, pear pc crashed. Hmm. I didn't see the crash message, but I hope this is just a signal to say that it needs a reboot.

Is this normal? Currently I ran pear pc again and booted from hard drive (img). It looks like it's doing something but I really can't tell.

I find a lot of the guides quite vague. What do I do now? Lets assume I got a fully minimum install of MAC OS X x86 Developer Kit Install DVD onto Tiger.img.

Follow the guide here to patch your Developer DVD so that you can install it natively. This is by far the easiest way to install OS X on a PC (assuming your hardware is somewhat supported). I have posted a pre-patched image to a couple of newsgroups. PM me if you want to know which groups you can find it in (I'm not sure mentioning the group names would be allowed here).

yeah, I "just" found out about patching the DVD. I just got mac os x installed successfully now. However my keyboard doesn't work ;) I will try the DVD to see if it helps the keyboard.
