Hi All,

Hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction as I've been chasing my tail on this for weeks:

Q6600 2.4ghz

Asus p5k-vm

2 Internal 7200RPM SATA drives

8GB RAM

EVGA 9800GT 1GB

Snow Leopard 10.6.4

The system is fully functional and reasonably fast and worked perfectly under Leopard. However after a vanilla install of SL, my audio / video performance has degraded significantly. I've tried enabling graphics/yes, Custom EFI strings, disabling on-board audio and using a firewire interface, but can't seem to get smooth Flash playback under Firefox (skips / stutters in full-screen), and the machine has a terrible time playing back 1080p video no matter the codec in Quicktime, VLC and FCP. However - When using XBMC I get perfectly smooth playback.

I'm at a total loss and would really appreciate your insight.

Best,

Ryan

EDIT

dsdt.kingfarmer.zip

IRQ --> Device (IPIC)

the problem may be that

Use smbios MacPro2,1 or macPro3,1

smbios.plist.zip

Use Chameleon RC5
