tyger52@hotmail.com
Hi guys, I'm having problems when I try to start my install, I've tried a whole wack of different BIOS settings, 2 or 3 bootloaders and what happens is when I first start the installation process the grey apple logo screen pops up then my computer restarts. One of my bootloaders said I didnt have drivers for AHCI but I changed my storage configuration to AHCI. I've succesfully installed with this disk into a Virtual Box machine so i know this disk is good. Im trying to boot Snow Leopard 10.6.2 Here are my Specs Asus P6x58d-e Intel I7 930 ATI 5850 LG sata dvd drive 6 gigs of Kingston ram I can't even get to the installation screen, this is very frustrating. und
I have almost exactly the same hardware as you, and I believe the problem is the LG DVD drive. I've ordered a new Lite-On drive which should arrive today, and I'll let you know after I test it with that. In addition, do you have any idea about where I might find a DSDT.aml file for this motherboard. I don't care about the BIOS revision, as I can just down/upgrade.
