Hey Folks,

I successfully installed Snow Leo 10.6.5 on my Samsung E-172 Ember (NP-E172-AS06DE)

It was quite annonying for a time, but now nearly everything (without the Wireless LAN and FN-Keys) is working :)

Booting and Install via Empire EFI,

-> After install boot with ##### -x into Snow Leopard.

-> Plugin Mouse & Keyboard due to not working in the beginning.

-> Run 10.6.5 Combo Update, & ##### with #####

Reboot

-> Then install Voodoo HDA 0.2.1 for ALC 262, and Voodoo PS/2 thing which comes with #####

Reboot

-> Now take Kext Helper and install IONetworkingFamily for integrated LAN (Marvell) which i found somewhere

-> Reboot

And with a bit of Luck nearly the most things will work ;-)

So, Graphic -> Working

LAN -> Working

Webcam -> Working

Touchpad & Keyboard -> Working

WLAN (Intel 5100) -> Not working :huh:

FN Feauture Keys with Brightniss -> Not working :D (Volume Works! )

So have fun :D
