Hello all, I will try to briefly explain where I am.

I have been handed an Asus X58L series laptop which someone has installed OSX 10.6.3 Snow Leopard onto. They have used Chameleon V2.

They had the problem of the internal mouse and keyboard not working. After a lot of research online I installed VoodooPS2Controller-0.98-installer.pkg and ApplePS2Controller.kext (using Kext Helper b7). I restarted the machine and after the Apple logo and spinning wheel the screen would halt on a light blue screen.

I restarted and entered safe mode using the -x switch and OSX booted up fine, and now the internal keyboard and trackpad were functioning correctly. I proceeded to install Intel GMA X3100 combo drivers (http://osx86.co/f36/intel-gma-x3100-10-5-x-combo-drivers-t3603/) but on reboot I still became stuck on the blue screen.

Can anyone help me to revert any changes I made so the machine will once again boot correctly to OSX?

Time Machine had not been set up.

Many thanks!

Edit: Build details:

darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chameleon v2.0-RC4_PCEFI-10.5_asereBLN r

Edit 2:

Looks like I have managed to fix it myself. I blindly entered System\Library\Extensions whilst in safe mode, sorted by date modified and deleted all Kexts which had been modified today. Shut down, booted into normal OS X and not only did the desktop appear the mouse and keyboard are working!

So god knows what has caused the mouse and kb to kick in but I'm just glad I conquered it :)
