AHMO!
I installed snow leopard 10.6.3 a while back and ever since I have been unable to use more than 2GB ram. Before snow I was running leopard with 4gb. I am now running SL 10.6.5. I do not have any pata devices. I have 1 SATA HDD and 1 SATA DVD drive. The mother board is a gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L. I ran debug=0x100 and attached screenshots to help determine the problem.
AHMO!
I would also like to add that I am using a 8400GS video card if that helps any. The video card is the only thing that has changed since leopard. I had a 7200GS and it wouldn't work with Snow. The 8800 has been great, I am just curious if the kext is what is causing these kernel panics when I put more than 2GB of memory in the system.
