BobbyT
Hi, I have successfully installed OS X 10.6 (Vanilla) onto an Asus Eee1005HAB, and have updated to 10.6.5 Everything works except screen resolution with hotkey. I partitioned a 40 GB slice of my hard drive using the bootcamp for hackintosh and have successfully installed Windows 7. Here is my issue, when I boot up I have to leave my install OS X USB thumbdrive or a 8GB SD card that I have formatted the same way plugged in and press ESC key to get to boot choices of HDD or flash device. I choose the memory card and then have my choice of OS X or Windows 7, then it boots correctly into whichever I choose. I want to know If I can get this boot loader off of the memory stick and onto the hard disk. Thank you. BobbyT
Sorry for only posting the frown smilie, That is about all that my iphone can accomplish from work. I am home now and am still looking for some advice or a hint. I don't want to mess up my insatall again, took me 4 tries to get it mostly correct. I'll give this another hour or 3 then forge ahead. I am guessing that I have to boot into OS X and then install Chameleon. Any signs of encouragement or caution against doing this would be greatly appreciated. I will try and give back to the forums as I learn more and gain some confidence. Thanks, Bobby the noob. verdant
I guess it is normal for no one to answer questions around here. Well , thanks anyway. They do but you have to be patient as there are more new posters than members able to help......... If you are booted into OS X, then download a Chameleon 2.0 RC3 or RC4 or RC5 installer package and use it to install Chameleon on your OS X HDD volume.......
