First time here. Seriously planning on doing this thing, and doing it right (hopefully). My iMac just isn't cutting it any more, and I need Final Cut in my life, as well as Adobe applications. So here's what I'm planning on building:

And there you have it. I suppose my biggest concern here isn't that I can't build it...because I know I can. My main concern(s) are that all parts listed will function properly (I'm scouring the Internet to make sure these things are compatible; right now, it looks like most of it is) and that I can run Final Cut without any problems. I'm doing two SSDs for work purposes. I need one as my drive with my OS and applications on, and the other is going to function as my work drive, where any project I work on at the time will be in temporary storage, for faster access. The other 1TB drives will be storage drives for previous projects, assets, etc.

I suppose I should clarify: I'm a video editor. I do motion graphics using After Effects and Motion as well. I just want this to work better than my current iMac, but not have the price tag of a Mac Pro. Can it be done exactly as I have listed? I have a couple of projects lined up very soon, and would like to get rolling on this build ASAP. Any and all advice will be MUCH appreciated. Are there any upgrades to components I should consider? Is this a good build? What are some glaring omissions I've got (because I know I do.)

Thanks in advance, and I'll hopefully be active on this forum for a long time to come. Also, sorry if I am creating some sort of duplicate post, or something vastly similar to someone else's build. If so, send me that direction, and I'll get rid of this one.

If every new user starts a topic with this kind of question then eventually all the useful information gets drowned out. As a rule of thumb; post information, not questions. Those seeking information and advice should read, those who have it should post. anything else is lazy, selfish and opportunistic. Why is this so hard for new users to understand?
