Hi there,

I've been reading lots of tutorials about installing Snow Leopard on a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R MOBO. And somehow i can't get past the installation setup. I've tried using 2 Retail Snow Leopard DVD's. One that contains 10.6 and the other one is 10.6.3. With the first DVD i get to the installation screen by booting up with -x , but during the installation it freezes on 18 minutes remaining. The second DVD boots up perfectly the only thing is that my screen goes on standby when it passes the loading screen. I think the second problem is caused by my videocard.

My setup:

Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Rev 1.0

Intel Core i7-930 Processor

Samsung HD502HJ SpinPoint F3 500GB (Sata II, 7200rpm, 16MB)

Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 - 512MB DDR3

Corsair DDR3 4GB 1600 XMS

I've ordered a new videocard ; a Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor-X hopefully it works with Snow Leopard!

anyways back to the main topic. What am i doing wrong? I've followed all the guides about the X58A-UD3R that i found and none of them seems to be working for me!

Kind Regards,
