Jason404
Can I install OSx86 on a server running VMware ESXi? Are there any special builds and guides for doing this? To complicate matters, my server has an AMD Opteron processor, but I could get a Xeon server as well, if I really have to.

The simple answer is yes, have alook at Donk's "VMWare Mac OS X Guest Package for ESX" topic, link below. However this method requires ESXi 4.1, the retail DVD of OS X and an Intel Processor with VT-x enabled. This method is well tested using Donk's latest darwin iso (310), however using Zenith432's "SnowKitty" topic you may make some progress with your AMD based system. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1495893 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1288448
