pirat3
I have been trying to get my graphics working better on my hackintosh, but throughout all of my searching everything that I find is far too specific. I'm hoping that someone can explain to me a little better what all of these things mean. My screen works fine, but I can't change the resolution. I have manually changed it by adding the whole 1280x1024x32@75 thing to my /Extra/com.apple.boot.plist but graphics still seem sub-par. For example, when I try to watch video in fullscreen I get unbelievable lag with the video (but not the audio.) I keep reading about injecters and efi strings. Are these thing just hacks to get graphics working, or will they full on get my card working "properly". I have tried both but I must be doing something wrong because I never have to ability to choose from a list of resolutions or video that will work fullscreen. Here are my specs, thanks in advance everyone. Snow leopard 10.6.2 Asus P5LD2 - Deluxe Intel Pentium D 2gb of ram this is what is displayed under "about my mac" for my graphics card GeForce 7600 GS: Chipset Model: GeForce 7600 GS Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0392 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: nVidia GeForce 7600 GS OpenGL Engine [EFI] Displays: Display: Resolution: 1280 x 1024 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Display Connector: http://s1124.photobucket.com/albums/l566/p...nt=1d2f7314.jpg I know this information isn't always 100% right, so I have also included a picture of the sticker on my video card. The one major difference that I have noticed is that os x is picking up that I have 256 ram instead of 512.
