adamj
Hey, I'm looking to pick out a motherboard for my OS X rig. I want to find one that is compatible with the following and will work well in OS X. My needs: -Raid 1+0 (4 1TB SATA II) -2 SSD's (128GB each) -1 Blu Ray drive -Fan controller on front of case -Socket 1156 for a quad core i7 -2 PCI-E graphics cards (option for a 3rd would be nice) -Built-in Wireless N or slot for a wireless card -Power connector at bottom of motherboard would also be nice I'm also looking at getting a graphics card to drive my 3 1080P monitors. I'm currently looking at buying a pair of 6850's but if OS X supports driving 3 off one card then I'd just get 1. I wouldn't plan on going crossfire as I've heard it's incompatible. Also, would a 5770 be better? It's a bit slower but I know they use them in the Mac Pro so I figured it might be more compatible. One last question, is it possible to partition a 1+0 Raid array? I'd like to use 1TB for windows and 1TB for OS X.
