hey all, I'm a noob, have built a few PCs and I'm looking to build my first hackintosh. I'm looking to get any feedback on my parts list, any red flags? I've researched until my head is spinning. icon_crazy.gif

motherboard

GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3 LGA 1156 Intel P55 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

or

GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

cpu (any problem with quad-core?)

Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor BX80605I5750

video card

EVGA 01G-P3-1226-LR GeForce GT 220 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

or

EVGA 01G-P3-N959-TR GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

the video card seems to be the most confusing but it sounds like 9500 GTs are a safe option. are these both ok?

ram

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

will use a case I already have and sata 500 gig hard drive and sata dvd burner.

I plan on using the ##### and ##### install.

I just finished my first Hackintosh, and while my system isn't exactly the same it is similar. I went with the following:

Gigabyte P55A-USB3

i5-750

ATi 5770

Crucial DDR3

160GB SATA HD

SATA DVD Burner

The video card is the only major difference. The installation was a breeze with the exception of getting the audio to work (just had a try a couple of different Kexts). I am still trying to get the sleep function working as well, but besides that I can't imagine the installation being any easier. I should also note that I am patched up to 10.6.5.
