I was delighted to find out recently that it is actually possible to build an OSX machine out of PC parts. I've been putting together PCs for several years now and the idea of putting a OSx86 machine together thrills me to no end. Anyway, enough of the OSx86 newbie jabber...

Since I'm used to putting together PCs, I'd like this first OSx86 machine to be relatively easy, if possible. By that, I mean I would like to choose hardware where very little hacking is involved. I've got a MicroATX case and power supply ready, I just need to know what motherboard would be best. I've always had a preference for AMD processors, but I understand that Intel processors are easier to work with when it comes to putting together a machine like this. So I'm totally fine with switching to Intel, that's no big deal. Here's the question: which MicroATX board would be the most newbie-friendly/stable?

As far as an optical drive and other hardware, I'm sure a lot of that will follow suit or I can look it up accordingly. The main thing I'm concerned with is the motherboard. By the way, I'd prefer some type of dual-core intel (no Celerons!), so I have no preference as to socket type.
