MacFlavio
Hi everyone, I have a question. I'm using Leopard 10.5.8. I've discovered that if I remove the following cache file: /System/Library/Extensions.mkext Leopard will load certain kexts at boot just fine (as well as recreate that file). Unfortunately, when I reboot a second time, the kexts that loaded just fine before will no longer load. (Specifically, I'm having troubles getting AppleIntel8255x.kext to load at boot. No prob if the mkext file is NOT there, but AppleIntel8255x.kext won't load if it is.) How can I force a certain kext to load at every startup? I found an old post on this forum referring to the file /etc/rc, but that was for Tiger, not Leopard. In Leopard it seems /etc/rc does not exist. Thank you Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/238533-how-to-force-a-kext-to-load-at-startup/ Share on other sites
