Well this is my first post in InsanelyMac so please bear with me. I am also a noob in installing OS X Snow leopard on Intel DP35DP. But I am having a problem that my SATA DVDRW disappears when its being read or being written.

The device also disappears from the BIOS and I need to shutdown the system and restart and only then the drive can be seen again in the BIOS.

The installation steps I used

Just using that the system works with Snow Leopard updated to 10.6.5 however the SATA DVDRW problem I cannot solve.

I am not using any DSDT as the DSDT Patcher GUI didn't help either.

Any Help will be greatly appreciated.
