AceOfShades
So... the story starts two weeks ago, my friend downloaded the deadmoo image : the TIGER for the first time in cage! One week from now, I install OSX86 natively... on the same disc as my Win XP partition : wrong! First impression ''YEAH! It's working!''... Second impression ''Damn! No more WinXP... nor anything on this disc... GOD DAMN IT!''... And it's so sloooooow... First thing to do : Reinstall WinXP (done!), do the dual boot (done!). Okay... what now? The speed, right! AppleTMPACPI.kext deleted (as seen here). Still slow... downloaded XBench -- Thread test : 8.74... what the hell! I've seen people on the forum with 35... grrrr GRAPHICS-MODE="1024x768x24"... won't do the trick. Damn I have SS2, not SS3... MAXXUSS 5.0... still the speed is the same... Itunes doesn't work, but SAFARI does... not FIREFOX, not MSN MESSENGER. platform=x86pc ... DAMN! This one do the trick! 57.55! YEEHAA!!, and Itunes is working now ... but not MSN MESSENGER... so I installed Adium, and it's working pretty fine! My specs : Pentium 4 2.40 ghz (dual processors, 2 x 1.2 ghz) RAM : 1GB IDE : One CD-RW, one DVD-ROM and one DVD-R/CD-RW Mother Board : Gigabyte 8PENXP Graphic Card : Nvidia Ge-Force 4 5600 256 mb Audio : Integrated Lan : Integrated (100mb/s) Keyboard : PS/2 Mouse : PS/2 XBench test : See attachment... Question 1 : Someone else have problems with msn messenger for mac? I installed it but it can't connect... anyway! Good luck all with TIGER, I think it will be pretty handy! (and thanks to the crackers! and everyone who released a patch or two!) Question 2 : How can I put my keyboard to be in French from Canada? (which means I can put this accent : è, on a "a") Question 3 : How can I put Darwin loader to automaticaly run "platform=x86pc"? It will enable several languages: Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, etc. Once installed you must go to the control panel and choose international, there you should pick the language that you wish. Is this in the "deadmoo" VMware image? I am able to change my Keyboard in French or German but I never installed this file.
