Spado
As said in the title my osx installation worked until today, when it doesn't work anymore and also doesn't install a new system cause it says it can't install in my disk.. If it could be, last thing I've done is install my internet key (zte mf627) and then repaired permissions. Also maybe when I repaired permissions it took like a new kext whom wasn't in extensions.mkext and so wasn't active before (I'm not sure about this)... I can't realize why it says the disk is not valid anymore for an osx install! Thanks to anyone who will help me... Sent with my HTC Desire... Markrtoon
Did you try reformatting your disk?! What exactly happens when you boot up? Before you boot at the screen, type in -v, and if you can take a pic and upload it. Spado
I tried all but formatting wich would work for sure. I tried safe mode and all but nothing worked. I.have the possibility to run portable snow 10.6.2 to fix things ... I'd like to resolve the issue without formatting ... Markrtoon
Alrighty! -v isn't safemode though. It's verbose, which will show the boot process and what it hangs on. Boot with -s, after it finishes booting, type in the both of these commands. /sbin/fsck -fy Press Enter.. Then /sbin/mount -uw / Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/238375-help-os-x-dont-start-anymore-and-install-says-cant-install-in-my-disk/#findComment-1592093 Share on other sites

And for the disk check... I think I did this throught the Disk Utility (via iPortable booted from USB)... Can I run the commands u said in this other USB install? Anyway I think I'll get a new HD ... But any help to fix THIS installations would be better ...
