Hey there folks, I'm pulling my hear out and have poured over these forums for hours looking for help.

Here are my specs:

Intel DP55SB

XFX 5850 1GB

500gb HDD

4GB Cosair Ram

Process:

- Newest ##### 2.5.1 - Installed Retail DVD

- Ran the combo 10.6.5 - didn't reboot

- ##### 2.5.1

- Used a custom DSTS for my DP55SB downloaded from the database

- did everything listed in this thread - http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8236 for

- So as seen above I installed (Chameleon 2.0 RC5 - ATI Experimental + com.apple.boot.plist Graphics Enabler Yes 64-bit)

- System Utilities - repair and rebuild both options

I then rebooted and it goes through the spinning logo then goes black for 1 second and then goes off white (same as apple logo white) and stays like that.. Won't show any GFX. I rebooted using the ##### disk and when I try to boot it gives me a panic and says to reboot my system and I can't get into my install at all.

Post install everything worked except audio (ethernet, gfx).. But after the update and ##### i get the white screen on reboot :/

Any suggestions? I can post any info you need!

Still can't get it to work.. Anyone? Has anyone had success with XFX 5850?

Hey man, I have an XFX Radeon 5750, near enough the same card I guess. - Undo the changes with multiboot and visit this thread. Install the lovely ATI 5xxx driver this dude has written. Should solve your issues:

Most people report success, everything runs beautifully in 64bit mode for me too.

Well, I tried that method and ended up the same way! Grey screen. So odd.

It boots and everything because I can see the machine on my network, even enabled file sharing and can get on the drives. So frusturating.. Even the bloody safe mode works at the right resolution. Maybe its having trouble with my monitor?
