takeawaydave Posted November 24, 2010 Share Posted November 24, 2010 "You are unable to log in to the user account at this time" I have had a stable 10.6.2 system for over 6 months now but today when I turned on my user account had been reset. This meant my desktop was back to standard - no shortcuts / all desktop items gone. My home directory I noticed had been lost - usually a large 1TB disk a mounted to my users home directory (/Volumes/David) however this had not been done. Instead /home/David has been created. I therefore went to the users Advanced options and reselected the /Volumes/David disk to be mounted as home dir. I then rebooted however when logging in I get the error: "You are unable to log in to the user account at this time" Can anyone advise on how to resolve ?
