Hey fellow users on the forums, I am new member, but not new to the site. I've found some really good stuff on here before and so now I come before all of you with a question I have.

I currently bought a MSI Laptop its a S6000 Model MS-16D3

I will list info below on what it has installed in it.

Intel® 5 Series Chipset, Realtek HD Audio, Intel ® HD Graphics, Atheros AR9285 wireless network adapter, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, Intel® Core i5 CPU M450 @ 2.4GHz

Can anyone tell me if I can get OSx 10.6 loaded on this bad boy? And if so can anyone point me in the direction I need to go to get started and to get all the necessary patches and drivers.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you'll probably be able to run the unmodified vanilla kernel (Updates from Apple without any {censored}) , I'd google for iAtkos S3 V2, that's the newest, and it's 10.6.3, lemme know if you have any questions.

Rock on!! You rock man! Thanks for help, I am about to download that version of iAktos and give it a shot, I'll get back to you after I try it out and let you know how it works...

Thanks again for help!

Ok, I am a noob when it comes to all this hackintosh stuff, so bare with me if I ask a stupid question. lol So I got that version of Iaktos that you told me to get and its loaded however I can't get past boot darwin screen, it gives me the option to go into the startup options which looks like you can type some commands if I do the -v it will restart the laptop go back thru the darwin boot screen and it flashes the apple screen briefly and I do mean briefly. lol and then the laptop just reboots, goes back and does this looping cycle. Any ideas on what I need to do? any commands or anything I need to enter in the start up?

Thanks again for the help!

No worries, you did a lot to help to me, I may go through and actually follow that guide you sent me the link to. Maybe the wireless will work on my laptop, worth trying I guess. LOL Just need to go back and put Winblows 7 back on this and use my other partition for OSX so I have two OS's.

If you should happen to see anything about anyone getting the wireless working let me know. In the meantime I will try this out at some point and get back to you and let you know if it worked or not.

Thanks again for the help young fella! :D
