Hi everybody,

I should start by introducing myself... but I don't like disclosing a lot about me :P

This "Toshiba Satellite U505-SP2017L" (full specs below), bought in March 2010, well, the price was roughly the same as the white Macbook, but I preferred sticking to Windows...

CPU: Intel Core i3 M330 2.13GHz

RAM: 4 GB DDR3

HDD: 300 GB SATA

Graphics: Intel HD (yeah, the one that goes integrated to the Core i3 ;) )

Realtek 8191SE wireless card

Realtek ALC269 audio card (even a SPDIF output!! and the more common HDMI for video+audio)

DVD writer, 13.3" screen, VGA webcam

pre-installed: Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and the usual pile of bloatware

Now I would like to try installing OS X (this laptop is already suffering a lot with me as a user anyway :D )

While iATKOS S3 v2 was downloading, I checked for the graphics, audio and wireless stuff, everything seems like it'll work well when I finish installation (will I have QE/CI with Intel HD Graphics? because new Macbooks have a hybrid config with that and the Nvidia card)...

If I only could!!! Well, it did boot into the Chameleon loader. I tried -x, -v, cpus=1, maxmem=2048 and several combinations of those. It started loading stuff (with -x -v it showed the so-called verbose list of kexts that were being loaded). Then a message appeared (with -v at least), but the system rebooted before I could read it (I think it said "starting Darwin x86").

I tried to google for some guide, but this is a laptop, then, instructions would have to be specific for the model ;)

Having the install disc booted, I could make it through the rest of the process with the already answered topics.

Thank you in advance!! ;)
