Snow Leopard & Windows 7 dual boot

Hi again!

I have a 500 Gb SATA hard disk. I installed Snow Leopard by Hazard on a partition of 100 Gb. It worked properly.

Then I have installed on another partition (150 GB) Windows 7 and now I cannot use Leopard.

Someone could help me, please?

I have configured EasyBCD 2.0.2. I have copied the file boot.efi (from /usr/standalone/i386/ ) and I have put it, with the name "nst_mac.efi", in NST folder on my windows local drive (C:)..

But when I succeed in running Snow Leopard, I get this error:

 

efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata

Error parsing plist file

 

Please help me!!!

I recently configured my Dell Mini 10v to a dual boot config. I documented the steps as I went along. Here is the sequence that worked for me. When booted, the machine starts on the MAC partition where chameleon is loaded and presents 2 icons, one for OSX and one for WIN7.

Dual Boot Install Instructions (OSX and Win7) on single HDD.

 

1. Partition HDD with OSX. 2 partitions.

2. Set Partition 1 to desired size, OSX Journaled, GUID.

3. Set Partition 2 to blank (empty).

4. Install OSX onto Partition 1 including desired bootloader. Update as required.

5. Boot to OSX and start Disk Utility.

6. Click the '+' sign under the partition chart to add a 2nd partition in the free space.

7. Format set to Windows FAT. Click apply to complete. Power off computer.

8. Insert Windows Installer USB stick, boot to USB stick to start Win7 install.

9. When 'Repair this Computer' option appears, click it and select command prompt from the list of options.

10. From the command window type the following instructions:

Diskpart

List Disk

(disks will list, note the one that will take Win7, called N below)

Select Disk N

List Partition

(partitions will list, note the one that will take Win7, called N below)

Select Partition N

Format fs=ntfs quick

active

exit

11. Restart and boot to the Windows Installer USB Stick again.

12. Install Win7 onto the NTFS partition created in step 10.

13. Boot to Win7 and set up as desired. Update as required.

14. Open a CMD window and type the following :

Diskpart

List Disk

(disks will list, note the one that contains Win7, called N below)

Select Disk N

List Partition

(partitions will list, note the one that contains OSX, it has an OFFSET of 200MB, called N below)

Select Partition N

active

exit

15. Shut down computer, insert MAC OSX installer USB stick.

15. Boot to USB Stick and select OSX as boot drive to start OSX.

16. Reinstall the bootloader that was used in step 4.

17. Restart the computer, OSX should be the default boot, with Win7 as 2nd.
